Have you seen these new kinds of manipulative books (and I don't mean the type that can control you at will). The kind that are published with the ability to manipulate pages or parts of the page. This new stretchbook was pretty awesome!

“I daresay you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
It's on my list to buy. Maybe it'll explain things that I can't seem to vocalize like how no one seems to be in my same situation with six kids and a dissertation looming.
So I was reading up on cross sectional books and got a bunch from the library to check out. My son LOVED looking at the details, the illustrations, the text...everything. I wish there were more cross sectional books that were't so history oriented and more fantasy. Might draw in more of an audience.
