Homework Monopoly

This was a bulletin board I've seen recently in a fifth grade class that was so cute I wanted to take it right off her wall.  The teacher told me she bought it from a great website called http://www.ladybugsteacherfiles.com/2010/12/homework-can-be-fun-with.html

Meme Makers

My son and I discovered a meme-maker app which was really fun.  I tried it out with a few teacher-y ones.

Stretchbooks

Have you seen these new kinds of manipulative books (and I don't mean the type that can control you at will).  The kind that are published with the ability to manipulate pages or parts of the page.  This new stretchbook was pretty awesome!

From Lewis Carroll and Through the Looking Glass:

Alice laughed. “There’s no use trying,” she said: “one can’t believe impossible things.”

“I daresay you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”

3D Bulletin Boards

I am the first to admit that I have a bulletin board deficiency.  When I see one I like, I have to document it.  This one had so many realia on it that it was really interesting to see.  I also like the vocabulary on there.

Book I want

It's on my list to buy.  Maybe it'll explain things that I can't seem to vocalize like how no one seems to be in my same situation with six kids and a dissertation looming.
